fine views and easy access to charming attractions
Staying here was a treat, as I could easily walk to Il Fornillo beach in less than a 5-minute walk and enjoy delicious pastries from a lovely local bakery just a few steps away. While the hotel provided a cozy atmosphere with spacious rooms perfect for making memories, I did find that the parking information could be clearer upon arrival.

A hidden gem in Positano
Woke up each morning to a good breakfast at the nearby hotel, which was like a luxury experience. The staff made every effort to ensure we felt at home.
While the location offers charm, the numerous steps-especially during our search for the best route-can be challenging for those with limited mobility.

Proactive And friendly staff, especially the waiters. Great view from balcony! Good ambience! The housekeeper did an excellent job! We are both very experienced travellers and saw the extra mile delivered in the cleanliness of the room!
No privacy on terrace. We had to participate a marriage break up next door for days! No free wifi which should be included and a offered bottle of prosecco we were asked to pay 5 euro for ice (no mini bar fridge)

The view from the hotel and from your rooms private terrace are fabulous! Well worth the extra 10min walk out of the main town centre. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the bathroom has a bath with spa jets. Would defiantly recommend.

The location of Villa Principe Giovanni in Positano is fine, with very nice views that take your breath away. I loved the spacious family suite with two bedrooms and a charming private courtyard. It amplified our experience. The breakfast buffet at the Hotel Conca d'Oro is good. Accessing the main street required navigating numerous stairs, which can be challenging for those not accustomed to the terrain. The noise from the surrounding area, especially around 2:30 AM during trash collection, was disruptive. The WiFi connection was annoyingly poor, and there were moments when the TV lost reception. While the staff did assist us promptly with our needs, including an upgrade due to earlier mix-ups, the lack of communication among staff created some bumps in our stay. Fine views and generous space are highlights, but the inconveniences need addressing.

Breakfast was good. Porters helped carry bags. Nice view from breakfast area.
Hotel is called something else and was difficult to find. Not close to the main beach or part of town, about 30 minutes and going back, is all uphill. We were not given the room we booked. Hundreds of stairs to walk to and from hotel. Air con not effective. No wifi and had to pay for internet use.

The room was large and beautiful with a lovely view from its terrace of Positano and the Mediterranean. The staff of the hotel were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely dinner at the associated Hotel Conca d'Oro which also has a large fourth-floor terrace with a whirlpool and deck-chairs. The public intra-city bus was an easy way to get closer to the water and save one's legs.
Check-in and breakfast are at the nearby Hotel Conca d'Oro, a climb of more than eighty steps. Of course in Positano, everything is a climb up or down so that was no big surprise. The staff did offer to deliver breakfast to our room if we wished, but we would've missed out on the nice buffet.
